Effective Health Care; a preventative healthcare, not-for-profit single payer system.
Working together could help turn the "E," that the U.S. earned for the Health and Wellness category of the international Social Progress Index, from a failing grade "E," into an "E" for excellence.
An effective health care system based on a not-for-profit single payer system would be likely to also help improve the economy and the environment due to reduced costs and more efficient use of resources. Quality of life for individuals would be likely to also help increase employment and improve education outcomes because healthier citizens would be likely to produce better output for lower cost in whatever role they were filling at any point of their lifespan.
A health care system based on preventative health care likely would create more jobs because it would require increased numbers of health professionals trained to provide individualized education and lifestyle guidance services. However it might still support a cost saving to the medical industry because there would be less focus on high cost screenings and treatments based on the long term use of pharmaceutical maintenance prescriptions or costly and potentially dangerous surgical interventions. Cost would be shifted from those areas to support the salary and benefits for the new preventative health education jobs.
Effective health care would also likely to help promote peace because healthier citizens are likely to be happier and more socially oriented. Chronic illness tends to be associated with an increased risk for depression and we may have an instinct to isolate when we are ill which would be helping to protect the group.
